Going mainstream, captive strategies take centre stage

The importance of captive strategies is at its most relevant today, with more companies owning captives than ever before and governments and regulators across Europe taking note and willing to embrace the concept.

With the news that the UK government will launch a formal consultation on introducing a captive regulatory framework, following the Lloyd’s captive project and exciting progress in France, there is no doubt captives have reached the mainstream.

The Airmic Captives Forum 2024, in its third year, will provide advanced content and discussion opportunities to experienced captives owners, while once again hosting the in-demand ‘Captive Boot Camp’ for Airmic members new and keen to learn more about captives, how they are formed, and their role in wider risk management and risk financing strategies.

With plenty of time for networking and formal CPD accreditation by the CII, this is the must-attend Captives event of 2024!

Opening Keynote: Captives going mainstream

The European captive market is going through its biggest period of disruption since Solvency II.  For the first time, Europe’s industrial nations are embracing captives in a way they never have, with governments and regulators hearing calls from risk management associations and local markets for domestic captive regimes.  In this keynote panel, we hear the drivers behind successful efforts in France and Italy to “bring captives homes” from our friends on the continent.  Attendees will also be brought up to speed on similar efforts, led by the London Market Group, in the United Kingdom and hear Airmic’s perspective on these developments.
